The National Weather Service office in San Diego said a dense fog advisory will be in effect until 10 a.m. and warned drivers and boaters to be careful.
Air travelers should check the status of their flights before leaving for Lindbergh Field.
High temperatures Friday will be 75 to 80 near the coast and 83 to 88 inland with light winds.
