The weather in San Diego this weekend will be cool and cloudy with patchy drizzle Saturday morning and overnight Sunday.
“Clearing should be a challenge this weekend especially for coastal areas,” the National Weather Service office in San Diego reported.
A deep marine layer is the cause of the moisture and cooling, with afternoon highs dropping 10 to 20 degrees below normal.
The forecast calls for highs of 64 to 69 on Saturday and 63 to 68 and Sunday. It will be a few degrees warmer inland.
A dome of high pressure will build across the Southwest and raise temperatures beginning Wednesday, with 90-degree highs expected inland later in the week.
