A hiker injured during a fall in the Three Sisters Falls area of the Cleveland National Forest, east of San Diego Country Estates, was airlifted out of the back country by helicopter Thursday, according to reports.

The victim, a 35-year-old man, was conscious, according to a Cal Fire spokesman.
According to the Cal Fire San Diego’s Twitter account, the victim was hoisted out to an awaiting ground ambulance, however the man was released at the scene.
Further details on the extent and nature of the victim’s injuries are not immediately available.
