The blaze erupted for unknown reasons off the 3000 block of Lyons Creek Road in the Lawson Valley area about 11:30 a.m., according to Cal Fire.

Ground crews and personnel aboard firefighting aircraft had the spreading of the flames halted within 90 minutes, the state agency reported.
