April showers, May flowers, as the adage goes, but Mother Nature may have forgotten that in San Diego.

This weekend’s rain storm is predicted to miss San Diego, though we really do need the rain. So, take the lemon and make lemonade and enjoy the sunshine. Here are some top events for this weekend.

VinDiego Wine and Food Festival

San Diego may be known for its craft beers, but it doesn’t mean that there are a shortage of wine lovers here. The Third Annual VinDiego Wine and Food Festival is a true wine connoisseurs delight.

VinDiego brings great wine and pair it mouth-watering gourmet food. The industries top winemakers and winery representatives will offer their practical knowledge and sharing their delicious wines to attendees.

VinDiego is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at NTC Liberty Station. Tickets are $95 per person.

La Jolla Concours D’Elegance

If classic and rare cars are your thing, then this is the event for you.

The La Jolla Concours D’Elegance showcases collections of one-of-a-kind, class and rare automobiles from around the world on the lawn of Ellen Browning Scripps Park in La Jolla Cove.

Previous years showcases included horseless carriages, Italian marques, British marques, Woodies, and 50s classics American sports car.

Will the Concours D’Elegance goes from Friday to Sunday, the cars will be on display on Saturday only.

Tickets for the event start at $40.

San Marcos Spring Festival

The San Marcos Spring Festival, also known as the San Marcos Street Fair, is the one of the largest spring street fair in San Diego. More than 15,000 people are expected to attend the event.

Hosted by San Marcos Chamber, the festival includes typical fare such as arts, crafts, food and local vendors selling their wares.

The festival goes from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.

Springfest — Experiments in Music

Spring cleaning isn’t just about getting rid of clutter in house, it is about getting rid of clutter in your ear too. Curated by the UC San Diego Department of Music, Springfest highlights new works from the school.

Emerging composers, performers and musicians explore their creativity, collaborate and launch new daring works.

Springfest goes through Sunday at UCSD’s Conrad Prebys Concert Hall with performance various performance times. Admission is free.

Goodguys Meguiar’s 15th Del Mar Nationals

This weekend is a weekend for car lovers. The Goodguys 15th Meguiar’s Del Mar Nationals is a car festival featuring more than 2,500 classic hot rods through 1972.

The festival not only includes an indoor car show, vendor exhibits for those hard to get parts but also model car show, kids zone for the whole family.

The Del Mar Nationals goes from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $20 for adults, $6 for kids 12 and under. Children under 6 are free.
