The San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency reported 138 new cases of coronavirus Saturday and five more deaths from the pandemic disease.

Out of 13,105 test results received in the past day, 1.1% were positive, and the 14-day rolling average of positive results ticked down to 1.6%.

Hospitalizations declined from 136 to 130 with the number of patients in intensive care going down from 40 to 39.

A total of 1,314,431 county residents are fully vaccinated — a number that represents 62.5% of the official vaccination goal.

Since the pandemic began over a year ago, there have been 278,990 cases of COVID-19 and 3,737 deaths.
