The San Diego County Health and Human Services agency reported 450 new cases of coronavirus Saturday and 13 more deaths from the pandemic disease.
Out of 13,284 test results received in the past day, 3.4% were positive, and the 14-day rolling average of positive tests ticked down to 4.3%.
COVID-19 hospitalizations stood at 538, with 175 of those patients in intensive care. Both numbers are less than half what they were in late January.
As of Saturday, there have been 860,578 doses of vaccine administered and 70,745 doses are available.
There is currently a shortage of Moderna vaccine because of storms on the East Coast, so second doses are being prioritized and the Petco Park vaccination center is closed through Tuesday. However, the Pfizer vaccine is available at many locations.
So far 20.5% of county residents over the age of 16 have received at least one dose and 9.4% are fully vaccinated.
