A alleged felon has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting, threatening and pointing a gun at delivery drivers in Fallbrook in recent months, authorities reported.
Detectives took Devin Frankel, 39, into custody and seized four firearms, including an assault rifle, after serving a search warrant shortly after 5 a.m. Thursday at his residence in the 2300 block of Green Valley Road in Fallbrook, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.
During encounters with delivery workers, Frankel allegedly choked one of them, threatened to shoot another and pulled what is believed to have been a gun on a third, Lt Darrell McNeal said.
Frankel was booked into county jail in Vista on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, being a felon in possession of firearms and making criminal threats. Sheriff’s officials disclosed no suspected motive in the case.
