A small aircraft made an emergency landing Saturday at an intersection in San Marcos.

The plane landed near South Rancho Santa Fe Road and Melrose Drive at around 6:15 p.m., both the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and San Marcos Fire Department tweeted.

The fire department later amended the exact location to Meadowlark Ranch and Boulderidge Drive.

The plane and a dark Lexus RX 350 the aircraft hit were evacuated safely and the occupants were being treated for minor injuries, the Sheriff’s department reported.

OnScene.TV said that the plane only carried its pilot, and the car, two people, one of whom is pregnant.

The intersection was temporarily closed, according to the sheriff’s department.
