A possible arson fire damaged an abandoned home Tuesday in a Stockton-area neighborhood.

The non-injury blaze in the 3100 block of Market Street erupted at about 6:30 a.m., according to the San Diego Fire & Rescue Department.

Crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames spreading through the boarded-up single-story house, the city agency reported.

The Metro Arson Strike Team was called in and was investigating the blaze as a suspicious fire, according to SDFRD public affairs.

The monetary losses were set at $20,000.
