Authorities reached out to the public Tuesday for help in identifying four men who robbed a Tierrasanta gas station in December.

The robbery happened at about 9:40 p.m. on Dec. 15 at the 76 gas station’s convenience store on Tierrasanta Boulevard near La Cuenta Drive, east of Interstate 15, according to San Diego Police.

One of the men was armed with a hammer and demanded cash from the clerk, while the other three went behind the counter and stole an undisclosed amount of tobacco products, police said. After the clerk handed over an unknown amount of cash, the thieves ran away northbound.

The suspect with the hammer was described as a 6-foot Hispanic or Asian man in his 20s who weighs about 300 pounds. He was wearing a gray “SD” cap, a black bandana covering his face, a grey shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.

The three other suspects were described as Hispanic men in their late teens to early 20s. They each were about 5-feet-6 or 5-feet-7 and weighed between 150 pounds and 190 pounds.

The skinniest suspect was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, a black bandana covering his face and black jeans. Another one of the suspects was last seen wearing a black jacket, a blue bandana covering his face, a black hat and blue jeans.

The fourth suspect was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, a blue bandana covering his face, black jeans, a red belt and white sneakers.

Anyone with information on the robbery or the suspects was asked to call the SDPD’s robbery unit at 619-531-2299 or San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
