Two adults and two children were displaced when a blaze damaged their Chula Vista apartment, authorities said Monday.

The non-injury fire was reported around 10 p.m. Sunday at an apartment complex on Telegraph Canyon Road near Melrose Avenue, according to the Chula Vista Fire Department.

CVFD Capt. Linda D’Orsi said crews knocked down the flames within 25 minutes and kept the flames from spreading to other units.

The American Red Cross was called to the scene to help the displaced residents arrange for temporary lodging, she said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
