Four residents were displaced by a fire that started in the garage of their Skyline home, authorities said Friday.

The non-injury blaze was reported shortly after 10:20 p.m. Thursday at a single-story residence on Dolo Street, a cul-de-sac off Lausanne Drive north of Skyline Drive, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

Firefighters arrived to find flames coming from the garage of the home, which was unoccupied at the time, the agency reported. Crews knocked down the flames within about 15 minutes.

The American Red Cross was called in to help the displaced residents — four adults — arrange for temporary lodging.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
