A blaze broke out in the garage of a Pacific Beach home Tuesday morning and displaced a family of three, authorities said.

The non-injury fire was reported shortly before 4 a.m. at a home in the 1500 block of Reed Avenue, between Haines and Ingraham streets, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

Firefighters arrived to find that flames had spread from the garage of the home to a Tesla in the driveway and police evacuated several neighbors because the fire burned close to a neighbor’s fence, 10News reported.

Crews had the flames knocked down within 20 minutes, a SDFRD dispatch supervisor said.

The American Red Cross was called in to help two adults and one child arrange for interim lodging, the dispatch supervisor said.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
