The spread of a 10-acre brush fire, sparked by a motorcycle crash, was stopped Sunday, Cal Fire said.

The fire, caused when a motorcycle went off Highway 79, began about 11 a.m. near the Green Valley Campground in eastern San Diego County near Descanso,

Traffic was closed in both directions of Highway 79. The California Highway Patrol escorted traffic through the area.

By noon, Cal Fire said the forward spread of the fire had been stopped and crews would remain on the scene into late afternoon to mop up and contain the fire.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

About six acres were burned, Cal Fire said.
