A body was found Wednesday in the surf at a beach just north of the U.S.-Mexico line.
The discovery at Border Field State Park was reported shortly after 11 a.m., according to sheriff’s officials.
Details on the deceased person’s identity, including gender and approximate age, were not immediately available, said Lt. Michelle Craig.
There were no immediate indications of any suspicious circumstances related to the death.
Officials have warned of dangerous rip currents in the area, however.
