San Diego police conducted a “minor decoy” sting operation Sunday targeting businesses that sell or furnish alcohol to people under 21.
Two businesses sold alcoholic beverages to a minor during the operation, resulting in two arrests, according to Sgt. Mitchell Jones.
A minor was used in the operation “under the direct supervision of a peace officer,” Jones said.
In addition to arrest, the businesses that sold to the minor are also subject to penalties through Alcohol Beverage Control, Jones said.
