A sheriff’s helicopter was requested to hoist a person–who apparently suffered a medical emergency–from the Cuyamaca Mountains Sunday.
Cal Fire San Diego tweeted out early Sunday afternoon that crews were on scene of a “remote area rescue” in the area of Middle Peak in the Cuyamacas.
Ground crews requested assistance from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department helicopter to hoist the patient to an awaiting ground ambulance.
There is no word on the patient’s condition or what the medical emergency was.
