The hit-and-run happened around 8:30 a.m. near the East Village intersection of Ninth Avenue and Broadway, according to police.
The vehicle was described as a newer model silver sedan, public- affairs Officer Billy Hernandez said, but San Diego police did not release a description of the driver.
The unidentified victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries described as minor, Hernandez said.
