The man, thought to have robbed a US Bank in the 1300 block of Rosecrans Street in Point Loma a short time earlier, refused to yield when officers tried to pull him over as he drove a white Ford Explorer on southbound Interstate 5 in the National City area about 2:15 p.m., said SDPD Officer Steve Bourasa.
The chase ended when the suspect, who appeared to be about 50 years old, crossed into Mexico at San Ysidro Port of Entry, Bourasa said.
