A 52-year-old woman was found gravely injured in a Pacific Beach alley Sunday, apparently struck by a car, police said.

The woman was found just before 1:20 p.m. in an alley near Garnet Avenue and Ingraham Street, San Diego police Officer Sarah Foster said.

Police and paramedics headed to the scene and tried to revive the woman, whose injuries were consistent “with being run over by a vehicle,” but she died at the scene, Foster said.

No information on the woman’s identity was immediately available.

Officers were at the scene investigating, but believe the death was accidental, Foster said, and no arrests have been made.
