Police ID Arthur Jordan as Victim Found Shot in University Heights

Police Thursday identified a man found fatally shot in a car ins University Heights.

Dispatchers received reports shortly after 12:45 a.m. Wednesday of a person with a gunshot wound in a vehicle at Park Boulevard and El Cajon Boulevard, San Diego police Lt. Anthony Dupree said.

Officers arrived and found 28-year-old Arthur Jordan of San Diego with a gunshot wound to his upper body, Dupree said.

Jordan was taken to a local hospital, but was pronounced dead there, Dupree said.

The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. in the 3000 block of Martin Avenue near Memorial Park Club in the Logan Heights area, Dupree said.

The victim was driven to the area of Park Boulevard and El Cajon Boulevard while en route to a hospital, Dupree said.

Information about who drove the vehicle was not immediately available.

No suspect description were immediately available. Homicide detectives were investigating the incident.
