Police Seek Hit-and-Run Driver Who Killed Man in Mission Hills

San Diego Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a 57-year-old man in Mission Hills last month.

San Diego Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 award for information leading to the suspect’s arrest.

The accident occurred at 12:22 a.m. on March 22 in the 1300 block of West Washington Avenue. The pedestrian, who has not been publicly identified, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

After the collision, the driver fled east, and his car — a 2001-2002 Hyundai Sonata with likely damage to the front — was spotted by several security cameras.
