A 47-year-old Poway man, who allegedly fired a shotgun at a tow truck driver, is being held without bail on suspicion of attempted murder, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department announced Thursday.
Joseph Silva is suspected of firing on the driver who was repossessing a vehicle Monday around 2:30 p.m. in the 16900 block of Old Coach Road, according to Lt. Christopher Collier.
Due to a quick response time, “deputies took Silva into custody at the scene and recovered the shotgun,” Collier reported.
The tow truck driver was not injured in the incident.
In addition to attempted murder, Silva was booked on several other felony charges, including firearms offenses and drug possession, Collier said.
Silva’s companion, 28-year-old Bonnie Baker, was arrested Wednesday on felony charges related to the incident, Collier added.
