Authorities asked for the public’s help Tuesday identifying a woman who used stolen credit and debit cards to fuel a $6,300 multi-city shopping spree in January.
The unknown woman stole a wallet Jan. 14 from another woman while shopping at the Vons store on Poway Road in Poway, sheriff’s officials said. The suspect proceeded to use four of the stolen cards to purchase several Visa gift cards and other items at Target in Poway and two Rite Aid stores in San Diego, according to investigators from the Poway Sheriff’s Station.
Deputies described the suspect as a thin woman between 20 and 30 years old with dark hair and a pony tail. She was seen wearing a black and white jacket with “Pink” on the front, blue denim jeans and black shoes.
Anyone who recognizes the woman was asked to call the Poway Sheriff’s Station at (858) 513-2800 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580- 8477.
Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in the case.
