One person was killed and at least two others injured following a crash on the southbound I-15 in Mira Mesa Sunday afternoon.
The single-vehicle crash was reported around 3 p.m. near Mira Mesa Blvd., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A four-door silver BMW sedan reportedly smashed into the center divider of the HOV lane.
A Sigalert was issued and at press time the HOV lane is closed.
The injured victims were transported to nearby hospitals. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
