Motorcyclist, 35, in Solo Crash Near US-Mexico Border Was From Vista

Authorities Monday released the name of a 35-year-old man killed over the weekend in a solo motorcycle wreck on a rural road near the U.S.-Mexico border.

Craig Reuter of Vista was riding to the west on state Route 94 near Emery Road in Potrero shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday when he lost control of his two-wheeler, sending it crashing into a guardrail, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Reuter, who was wearing a helmet, died at the scene of the accident, despite efforts by a bystander and paramedics to revive him with CPR.
