The lockdowns at Lincoln Middle School and nearby Palmquist Elementary School in Oceanside have been lifted, according to school district officials.
The precautionary measures were rescinded after officers found the suspicious and possibly armed man they were looking for in the area, according to police.
A sheriff’s helicopter crew is helping Oceanside Police search for a suspicious and possibly armed man spotted in a neighborhood just east of Interstate 5 and north of state Route 78, a sheriff’s lieutenant says.
