A man wearing a red tank top used a demand note to rob a Park West-area bank Wednesday afternoon and made his getaway on a bicycle.
The thief, who appeared to be in his 50s, handed the written message to a teller at the Chase bank branch in the 2500 block of Fifth Avenue shortly before 3 p.m., according to San Diego police.
After the clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, the bandit pedaled away on a bike, Officer Dino Delimitros said.
No detailed description of the robber was immediately available.
