Coroner’s officials Saturday released the name of a 25-year-old jogger from San Diego who was found dead on a Fountain Valley jogging trail near Mile Square Park.
The jogger was identified as Tho Le, the Orange County Coroner’s Office reported.
Authorities responded to a report of a person down at 12:58 p.m. Thursday on the jogging trail along Brookhurst Street north of Warner Avenue, said Fountain Valley Police Sgt. Kham Vang.
Arriving officers found Le wearing jogging attire lying on the grass just off the trail, Vang said. He had been running along the exterior of Mile Square Park and appeared to have collapsed during his run.
His death does not appear to be suspicious. Le was visiting a friend in the Fountain Valley area, Vang said.
“An autopsy was completed but cause of death is pending additional testing/investigation,” according to a statement from the coroner’s office.
