A 29-year-old Chula Vista man who apparently was ejected from a car during a traffic accident on an Otay Mesa freeway connector and found dead in a nearby yard on Wednesday, was identified Saturday by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
Andrew Louis was found lying about 50 feet from the wrecked sedan. The cause of death was craniocervical blunt-force injuries, according to the medical examiner, who determined that the manner of death was accidental.
A resident discovered a crashed 2012 Chevrolet Malibu and Louis’ body behind his home near Los Altos Elementary School at about 11:15 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The car apparently had veered off the ramp from southbound Interstate 805 to westbound state Route 905 late Tuesday night or early Wednesday and smashed through a fence to the rear of the house, CHP public affairs Officer Jake Sanchez said.
The resident reported that he was away from home when the crash occurred.
