About 200 protesters, carrying signs and chanting, marched through Balboa Park Saturday afternoon demonstrating against the election of Donald J. Trump as president, according to police.

The demonstration began at about 12:30 p.m. near the corner of Park Boulevard and Presidents Way in the southwest corner of the park, according to San Diego Police Officer Tony Martinez.

Some of the signs carried by marchers read “No hate,” “No free feels,” “Not my president” and “Love won the popular vote.” The crowd could be heard chanting “Racist, sexist, anti-gay, Donald Trump go away.”

Officers monitoring the crowd reported no incidents. The crowd had dwindled to a few dozen four hours after the protest began, Martinez said. Police kept the crowd away from vehicle traffic and blocking off streets as necessary, according to authorities.
