The Coroner’s Office identified an 87-year-old woman on Saturday as the driver who was fatally injured Thursday in a two-vehicle crash in Mission Viejo.

Lenka Strassmayr, a resident of Mission Viejo, was identified as the motorist killed in the collision, according to the coroner’s office.

While driving a 2007 Lexus, Strassmayr was involved in a two-vehicle crash with a 2012 Jeep that occurred at 11:12 a.m. Thursday in the area of Marguerite Parkway and Venado Drive, said Orange County sheriff’s Lt. John Roche.

Both drivers were rushed to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center, where Strassmayr died from her injuries at 7:50 a.m. Friday, according to the coroner’s office.

The driver of the Jeep suffered from a possible broken nose, said Roche, adding that the crash does not appear to be DUI-related. It was not immediately known whether the driver was cited or arrested.
