A parolee turned himself in after a two-hour standoff in the North Park neighborhood, the San Diego Police Department said.

Police were called to the 3500 block of Florida Street at 6:42 p.m. Saturday after the man, who was being served a warrant, refused to cooperate.

According to a San Diego Union Tribune report, the man slammed the door in their faces and then threatened suicide. The standoff also resulted in neighbors being evacuated, the U-T reported.

Police said Sunday that an emergency medical crew was called to the scene, but did not offer further details or identify the man. The man was taken into custody at 9:20 p.m., and there were no injuries during the standoff.
