Two gunmen shot a 35-year-old man who was sitting alone in his car in the Mountain View district in what police on Sunday believe was a gang-related attack.

The shooting was at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 3500 block of Durant Street, according to San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims.

Two men walked by the front of the victim’s car and both shot at the windshield several times, hitting the victim once in the right elbow, Heims said.

The victim was taken by paramedics to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the gunmen escaped, according to Heims. The victim did not give officers a description of his attackers.

Detectives from the San Diego Police Gang Unit were investigating the shooting.
