Trolley service was restored through downtown San Diego shortly after 9:30 a.m. following repairs to two small sinkholes near 4th Avenue and C Streets.

San Diego Metropolitan Transit System announced the resumption of full service in a tweet.

“We’re back to regular service on Blue and Orange Lines downtown,” MTS tweeted. “A HUGE thank you to our riders for your patience!”

Both the Blue and Orange lines were affected. MTS had run a shuttle service between American Plaza and the Civic Center station.
