A woman was struck by a minivan and seriously injured Thursday afternoon as she was crossing a street in front of Sharp Memorial Hospital, authorities said.
The 2011 Honda Odyssey hit the 38-year-old pedestrian at the corner of Frost Street and Health Center Drive shortly after 2 p.m., according to San Diego police.
Medics took the unidentified woman to the nearby medical center for treatment of severe head trauma, SDPD Officer Frank Cali said.
It was not immediately clear if the 48-year-old motorist will be cited.
