A stretch of westbound state Route 905 will be closed overnight Monday so Caltrans crews can work on signs near the Otay Mesa border crossing.
Westbound state Route 905 will be closed between Siempre Viva and La Media roads from 9 Monday night to 5 a.m. Tuesday and again from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday, according to Caltrans. The same portion of the eastbound highway will be closed overnight Wednesday and Thursday.
Transit officials said commercial trucks and other vehicles heading into San Diego will be detoured onto eastbound Siempre Viva Road, then onto northbound La Media Road before getting back on the highway.
The sign work is part of a project to connect the 905 and under- construction state Route 11 to Enrico Fermi Drive.
