A car crashed into an Encanto-area home Saturday and struck its gas meter, which prompted authorities to evacuate some surrounding residences.

The crash into the home on Flicker Street, near Lisbon Street, was reported at about 1:15 p.m., according to fire officials and police. The vehicle struck an outdoor gas meter, a San Diego Fire-Rescue Department dispatcher said.
No one was injured, authorities said.
