Fugitive – a Child Molestation Suspect – Nabbed Aboard a Mission Bay Boat

A fugitive child-molestation suspect from the Midwest believed to have a long criminal background, was behind bars in San Diego Thursday after his capture aboard a sailboat on Mission Bay, authorities reported.

Members of the San Diego Fugitive Task Force and harbor police officers arrested Timothy Wayne Faudree, 57, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

Faudree is wanted on suspicion of multiple counts of having sex with a child under age 14 in Marion County, IN., Dante Salazar of the Marshals Service said.

Indiana authorities issued an warrant for Faudree on Aug. 1 but were unable to find him. The local task force took him in Wednesday.

Deputy marshals determined that Faudree, who allegedly has an extensive criminal history in five states and has been arrested for burglary, aggravated assault, growing pot and possessing drug paraphernalia – was living on a boat in San Diego County.

The suspect was booked into San Diego Central Jail and being held on $125,000 bail pending extradition proceedings.
