It was 10:45 a.m. Saturday when the suspect entered the Union Bank branch, at 3261 Sports Arena Blvd., approached the teller and made a verbal demand for money, FBI Special Agent Darrell Foxworth said. The suspect demanded specific denominations and threatened violence if the teller did not comply with his demands.

After the teller complied with the suspect’s demands, the suspect walked out of the bank and towards the nearby Target store, Foxworth said. No injuries were reported during the robbery.

The suspect was described as white, in his late 30s, about 5 feet 10 and 170 pounds and wearing a gray sweatshirt, white t-shirt, knee length shorts, white socks and white tennis shoes. The suspect had the numbers 187 tattooed under his left eyebrow, a tattoo of a teardrop near the corner of his left eye and a tattooed square above his left eyebrow.

Anyone with information concerning the robbery is asked to contact the FBI at (858) 320-1800 or Crime Stoppers at (888) 540-8477.
