The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County increased a half-cent Saturday to $4.095, one day after dropping two-tenths of a cent.
The average price is nine-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 39.3 cents higher than one month ago and 43.2 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
“Overall refinery production has increased, but a lag in gasoline imports and continuing issues with some refineries in the state has increased prices,” said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager.
