The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped six-tenths of a cent Saturday to $3.622, the ninth consecutive decrease.
The average price has dropped 3.6 cents over the past nine days, including two-tenths of a cent on Friday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 2.8 cents less than a week ago and 9 cents lower than one month ago, but 73.5 cents more than one year ago. It has risen 50 cents since the start of the year.
“After a two-week pause, gas prices have resumed dropping locally on news of healthy fuel supplies in California and a reduction in oil prices over the past week,” said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager.
