
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Monday to its lowest amount since Feb. 23, decreasing a half-cent to $3.06.

The average price has dropped 45 consecutive days and 71 of the past 74, decreasing $1.176, including seven-tenths of a cent on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 8.8 cents less than one week ago, 46.4 cents lower than one month ago and 65.1 cents below what it was one year ago.
