The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County fell Monday for the 18th consecutive day, dropping 1.1 cents to $3.965.
The decreases follow a seven-day stretch of increases totaling 73.7 cents that pushed the average price to its highest amount since May 8, 2014.
The average price is 14.5 cents less than one week ago but 46.2 cents more than one month ago and 3.2 cents higher than one year ago.
The state’s highest average price is in Los Angeles County at $4.018, one of two remaining areas in the state with an average above $4. The other is Ventura County at $4.006.
The lowest average is $3.224 in the Yuba City area in the Greater Sacramento region.
