The 10th Broken Yolk Cafe in San Diego County will open this summer at the Beachside Del Mar shopping center.

Located west of Interstate 5 on Del Mar Heights Road near Mango Drive, Beachside Del Mar is currently undergoing a $4 million renovation to create a village atmosphere for local residents to shop, dine and work.

“We are excited to welcome Broken Yolk Cafe,” said Russ Monroe, property manager for the center. “We are working hard to make sure that Beachside Del Mar has something for everyone, and the addition of new dining and shopping options as part of our renovation is an important step toward accomplishing that goal.”

The center is owned and operated by Donahue Schriber, a real estate investment trust that owns and operates a 68 shopping centers in California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon and Washington.

The first Broken Yolk opened in 1979 and there are now 13 in Southern California with Del Mar and two other locations under development.

The Del Mar restaurant will be operated by franchisees Randy and McKenzie Corrigan, who are Del Mar residents.  It will be open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
