Stop by the trendy neighborhood of Adams Avenue for the 36 annual street fair.
The Adams Avenue Street Fair, which organizers say is the largest, free music festival in Southern California, features 80 different acts across six stages.
The event also features food vendors, beer tastings, carnival rides and 300 arts and crafts booths.
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Grab a cape and head to Carlsbad for its Superhero Obstacle Race at Alga Norte Community Park. The event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday, features a 2K race that is perfect for the little ones. Participants will get to crawl through tunnels and race through mazes. Finishers will get a cape and a medal. Registration is $25.
Borderless Dine & Wine
The Westgate Hotel, in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico in San Diego, will host a regional culinary experience benefitting the Mexico earthquake relief through Cruz Roja Mexicana. The two-night Borderless Dine & Wine event will take place on Friday and Saturday. Guests will enjoy delicious plates and live music. The event is $40 per person on Friday and $130 on Saturday. Tickets for both evening events and tables for Saturday’s event are available for purchase at www.westgatehotel.com.
Slipping into Darkness Film
AleSmith one of San Diego’s original breweries, is teaming up with XTERRA SURF to showcase the top surf talent around San Diego in the new film: Slipping into Darkness.Guests can mix it up with professional surfers, check out gear from over a dozen local action sports vendors, enjoy delicious craft beer from AleSmith Brewing and jam to the tunes of DJ Binkx and Modern History Band before the viewing of this anticipated film release. Celebrate the new season with the Harmony Grove Fall Festival. The North County community will host a festival from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, featuring live music, food, carnival games, a petting zoo and pumpkin patch. The event is free and open to the public.
Double Peak Challenge
Looking for an outdoor challenge this weekend? Try the Double Peak Challenge. Run a 10K up hills in San Marcos to reach Double Peak this Saturday. Participants will not only reap the rewards of finishing a race, but you’ll get an awesome view of North County. If a 10K isn’t for you, you can also do a 5K or a fun run with the kids. The fun run is free, the 5K is $40 and the 10K is $50.
