The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System will be running offer late-night trolley service out of downtown San Diego to accommodate New Year’s Eve partyers.

The special Saturday-night service, sponsored by Coca-Cola, includes 12 extra train departures after midnight in all directions.

The last trains scheduled are:

  • Green Line to San Diego State University — leaves 12th & Imperial Transit Center at 2:21 a.m.
  • Blue Line to San Ysidro — leaves America Plaza at 2:33 a.m.
  • Orange Line to El Cajon — leaves Santa Fe Depot at 2:19 a.m.

All trolley lines and most bus routes will operate a normal Sunday schedule on New Year’s Day and a Saturday schedule on Monday, when the holiday is observed.

On Monday, MTS is offering its Friends Ride Free promotion. Each paying passenger can bring one friend on a bus or trolley at no charge.
