The La Jolla Music Society‘s Revelle Chamber Music Series continues Saturday evening with the famed Takacs Quartet at MCASD Sherwood Auditorium in La Jolla.

Considered one of the world’s greatest string quartets, Takacs was formed in Budapest in 1975. The quartet is currently in residence at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where they teach in a string program dedicated to nurturing the chamber music interests of undergraduate and graduate students.

The program includes Bartok’s String Quartet No. 4, Sz.91, Debussy’s String Quartet in G Minor, Opus 10, and Beethoven’s String Quartet in B-flat Major, Opus 130.
