Washington D.C. may be known for its burst of cherry blossoms in the spring, but San Diego gets its share too, so the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park will celebrate the return of the lovely pink blooms Saturday.

You can head to the Cherry Blossom Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to enjoy crafts, street food and cultural entertainment at the garden, near the Spreckels Organ Pavilion.
Admission is $6 for adults and $5 for military, seniors and students. Children under 6 get in free.
Volunteer sign-ups are still being sought too, if you would like to do more than just attend.
